Overseeing Umbrella Insolvency, Tom has more than 15 years of experience in personal and corporate insolvency practice, qualifying to act as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2007 after becoming one of the youngest candidates in the country to pass the insolvency examinations. He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) and Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).

Before joining Umbrella Insolvency, Tom spent more than five years at Leonard Curtis, a top ten national insolvency firm, working at close quarters with a wide range of stakeholders including banks, asset based lenders and accountants.

As a result of his extensive legal background, Tom is widely praised for his analytical mind and sound judgement as well as his honesty and openness in what can be difficult circumstances. He always wants to achieve the best for his clients.

Sarah is a hugely experienced debt counsellor with more than 20 plus years’ experience offering debt advice. Specialising in all aspects of personal debt advice, she holds an Advanced Certificate in Debt Resolution (CertDR) Level 3.

In 2014 she was awarded Advisor of the Year by the Debt Resolution Forum. She was a runner-up Debt Counsellor of the Year in the 2013 Credit Today Awards.

A people person, Sarah makes sure that all clients receive the best advice and are treated ethically. She is always available to customers who want to discuss their options or talk through their situation.

Before establishing Umbrella Accountants, Miles worked for some of the largest multi-national financial institutions and help set up one of the country’s biggest debt solution businesses.

A Chartered Accountant by trade, he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and has more than 25 years of accountancy experience.

In that time he has worked for companies including KPMG, TSB, Mazars and CIS. He also co-founded One Advice which provides debt resolution, personal insolvency and other financial services to customers UK-wide.

In 2009, Miles helped establish Umbrella Accountants. After a rapid period of growth the company delivers a huge range of accountancy services including IVA’s, cloud accountancy for businesses and accountancy support for contractors and freelancers.
